All the amazing fun can be seen on our
Do you book the same groups on consecutive years?
We have a few local groups whom we invite every year. We are supporters of our local music scene. We are a grassroots community festival so we want to support musicians local to us, and love being able to provide performance opportunities for them.
In addition there are a small number of 'resident groups' who have performed every year and have been with us, nearly from the start.
Groups from further afield, and bear in mind we are an international festival, we tend to alternate or welcome every two to four years. We just cannot host everyone at each festival - it would be absolute bedlam! - and one of the things we value is the fact that each year has a slightly different feel to it.
If ticketed events are changed, do we get a refund?
If the music goes ahead as planned but we, for example, have to change venue, then we will not offer a refund. Of course, if there are accessibility issues then we are really happy to consider requests for refunds on a case by case basis.
If an event is changed significantly then we will consider what is reasonable in terms of a refund. For example, if there is a power cut half way through, or if a cruise cannot go out, but we can find a new venue, then we will offer a partial refund.
If an event is cancelled completely we will offer a refund.
How can we advertise in the programme, or become sponsors for the festival?
There is a sponsorship email that can be found on our Contact Us page. If you are interested in being a main sponsor and, for example, underwriting a big event, or advertising on our t-shirts, then we'd LOVE to hear from you.
Are there any paid roles at the festival?
Our festival is run nearly completely voluntarily. We are sometimes successful in gaining a grant to fund specific projects and will commission these individually. If you are interested in getting involved and want to stay in the know, the best thing is to volunteer with us and get to know the team.
