TRAIN: Trains run regularly from Manningtree station which is connected to to Ipswich, Norwich, Colchester, London and beyond. The train station is very central.
If you are looking for information about the Shanty Train, tickets for these are managed by Essex and South Suffolk Community Rail.
N.B. Dovercourt station which is the station before Harwich is also quite close to all the action. If you fancy a stroll through Dovercourt on your way in, there are lots of services there.
BOAT: Sail in from the Hook of Holland on the Stenaline. You can also come by boat and moor for the weekend. More about moorings here.
SHANTY BUS: This runs from Parkeston Quay throughout the weekend. The timetable is within the printed programme. Another reason to buy the programme!
CAR: Harwich sits at the end of the A120. Travellers from the Midlands and North will join the A12 or A137 in the south Ipswich area. Those travelling from London and the South will take the A12 before joining the A120 near Colchester. There is limited parking in the town so we recommend taking public transport where possible.
